Library – Services for Graduate Students

The Library provides a variety of resources for graduate student, from materials, to research services, publishing support, & teaching support.


Information Technology Services (ITS) Help Desk

The ITS Help Desk is the central point of contact for all your information technology questions and support needs at Binghamton University.

Location: First Floor of Technology Hub

Fall & Spring Semesters:
Monday – Thursday: 8 a.m. – 9 p.m.
Friday: 8 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Summer & Winter Hours:
Monday – Friday: 8 a.m. – 4 p.m.

Hours subject to change when classes are not in session.

Graduate School – Professional Development

The Graduate School collaborates with Binghamton University experts and draws on external resources to facilitate graduate students’ and postdoctoral scholars’ development beyond the classroom and lab.


Fleishman Career Center

Through our programming initiatives and individual consulting, we create pathways for all Binghamton students to explore, pursue, and achieve fulfilled lives through a dynamic network of opportunities and connections.


UDiversity

The UDiversity Educational Institute provides professional development and diversity-focused training for staff, faculty and students.

Location: Library South Ground – LS-G505 and LS-G507

Watson Career & Alumni Connections

Location: Engineering Building – L-Pod

Transfer Student Success

Transfer students are encouraged to use this office as a primary resource during their time at Binghamton, where they will find mentoring, advice and advocacy.

University Tutorial Services (UTS)

UTS provides free tutoring for Binghamton University students.

Location: CIW Library in the Iroquois Commons building.


Success Coaching

Success Coaches are trained to collaboratively work alongside a student to create an actionable success plan regarding a variety of topics like time and task management, study strategies, motivation and more.

The Writing Center

The Writing Center provides free tutoring in college writing for all students.

Location: Library North – LN-2411
Around the corner from the Harpur College Dean’s Office.

Monday-Thursday:

The Speaking Center

The Speaking Center supports student development and success in public speaking and oral presentation preparation and delivery.


English Language Institute (ELI) Tutoring Center

The ELI, in coordination with University Tutorial Services, has ESOL-trained tutors to assist all multilingual Binghamton University students with their English-language and academic skills. Visit ELI – Graduate Students for more resources.


Dissertation Writing Support Services

Our Graduate Dissertation Writing Support specialist provides expert guidance for doctoral students working on dissertations, theses, conference papers etc.
