We hope that everyone has had a chance to read the B-line announcement sent out yesterday, with regards to the COVID-19 response plan, which states that
“All events (including seminars, conferences, etc.) scheduled on or after March 19 must be canceled or moved to an online format.”
GSO-funded events may be held before and on March 18th. All GSO suborgs, please submit all voucher documents within 30 days of the event. Events planned for March 19th or after are CANCELLED. At this time, the GSO will not reimburse for any events held after March 18th.
We normally can not reimburse for events that did not happen, but we are currently in discussion with higher administration to make an exception due to the circumstances. If the school remains closed by April 20th, the GSO will accept vouchers starting April 20th for purchases made for events planned after March 19th that remain cancelled. We expect vendors to be able to reimburse your costs for canceled events, but in cases where it is not possible, the GSO will attempt to reimburse these costs. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact the GSO. Events may be rescheduled for now, as we do not know if the university will allow events at a later date.
GSO will hold limited office hoursstarting March 19th, in order to decrease the risk of disease. Please check the website for any updated hours. Anyone submitting vouchers is encouraged to provide an address to mail your check, as opposed to having to come into the office.
We want to make sure primarily that everyone is safe. Also, please note that the Food Pantry is still in normal operation as of today, March 13 (unfortunately, they do not have any hand sanitizer or wipes!).
