Binghamton University offers a variety of resources to support student health, address concerns, and foster student life.

Case managers provide information, resources, and practical strategies to help students manage and navigate challenging situations.

Decker Student Health Services Center (DSHSC)

DSHSC provides registered Binghamton University students and affiliated entities with primary care of acute illness and injury, health education, women’s health services, travel medicine, immunizations, HIV testing, psychiatric consultation and laboratory services.

Location: DSHSC is located just south of the Dickinson Residential Community, off of East Access Road. 

Free flu shots available while supplies last! Select “Influenza Vaccine Clinic” in the patient portal.

University Counseling Center (UCC)

The UCC provides a variety of free and confidential counseling and referral services delivered by professional counselors.

Binghamton Anxiety Clinic (BAC)

The BAC specializes in evaluation and treatment of anxiety disorders, particularly social phobia and obsessive-compulsive disorder.

Food Pantry

This is a temporary, judgment-free place for students, faculty, staff and community members facing hard times, such as running short of money for the month or other emergency situations. The Food Pantry has one location on main campus, plus two satellite locations.

Graduate Student Employees Union (GSEU)

“The GSEU represents state-funded graduate student workers (TAs and GAs) at SUNY Binghamton. We advocate for fair wages, better working conditions, and support our members through contract enforcement, organizing, and community-building.”

Please note: As of Spring 2025, Research Assistants at Binghamton University have unionized! They are now part of RAU, alongside RAs from Stony Brook. The GSEU is currently supporting the formation of organizing and bargaining committees and beginning to draft the first RA contract. Ombudsman

The University Ombudsman provides consultation regarding any kind of conflict as well as mediation and facilitation of individual and multi-party disputes.

The Q Center advocates for the collective liberation of queer identifying people. We are cultivating an intersectional space where all queer students, faculty and staff at Binghamton University are empowered to be their full, authentic selves.

VARCC – Resource center for victims of gender violence

“We offer advocacy, reporting, healing and empowerment services for survivors of sexual violence.
